Standard Counterweight Shaft

The Standard Counterweight Shaft is included with all Paramount MEs.

Dimensions: 460 mm (18 in.) long and 38 mm (1.5 in.) in diameter.

This length shaft holds up to six (6) 9 kg (20 lb.) counterweights.

Counterweight Shaft Extension Bar

This is an optional accessory and is not included with the Paramount ME.

The Counterweight Shaft Extension Bar screws into the end of the Standard Counterweight Shaft for additional counterweight capacity.

Dimensions: 178 mm (7 in.) long and 38 mm (1.5 in.) in diameter.

The combined length of the standard counterweight shaft plus the counterweight extension shaft (178 mm or 24-in.) holds up to eight (8) 9 kg (20 lb.) counterweights. This product replaces the Long Counterweight Shaft.

European (Baader) counterweight shaft

This product is obsolete and no longer manufactured by Software Bisque. All Paramount MEs come with the Standard Counterweight Shaft.

This shaft was previously supplied with all Paramount MEs sold in Europe. (Software Bisque's European distributor, Baader Planetarium GmbH, initially supplied counterweights for the Paramount ME.)
