Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) Mounting Hardware

Several methods for attaching your telescope to the Paramount ME Versa-Plate are listed in the table below.

Losmandy Dovetail	Attaching the OTA to the Versa-Plate is relatively fast and easy. If your OTA has a male "Losmandy compatible" dovetail mounting plate, then no additional hardware is required to mount the telescope to the Versa-Plate.	Dovetails are not the most rigid method for attaching optics to telescopes. They introduce unwanted flexures that can affect overall pointing accuracy and repeatability and performance.
Homeyer Scope Cradle	Extremely rigid mount-to-telescope attachment. Good for multiple optics. Repeatable all sky pointing.	More expensive.
Parallax Instruments Standard Tube and Rotating Rings	Extremely rigid mount-to-telescope attachment. Good for multiple optics. Repeatable all sky pointing.	More expensive.
