THESKY LOCKS UP WITH COMPUTE CURSOR ON LAUNCHING
ISSUE
When launching TheSky (v2.x?), the cursor changes to compute mode, and then nothing more happens – it locks up (stops responding to the system). Same thing happens if WSTOOLS is run and a tool is used.
RESOLUTION
This may be a math co-processor problem. If all else fails, remove the coprocessor and try launching TheSky again. It will take longer to compute Solar System objects, etc., but may enable it to run.
If this solves the problem, the user should check with the coprocessor manufacturer for a replacement. We recommend Intel math coprocessors.
