LEVEL III CD INSTALL UNDER WIN32S FAILS

ISSUE

After installing a Level III CD-ROM under Win32s double clicking on the icon reports that the program cannot be found. None of the other icons in TheSky group can run their associated programs either.

RESOLUTION

TheSky Level III CD-ROM installs incorrectly under Win32s because it treats the system as a Windows 95 installation. To correct this problem:

1. Do not accept the default installation directory, rather change it to “C:/TheSky”.

Once the installation is complete:

2. Copy all the DLLs from the /SKYFILES/SKYDLLS to the WINDOWS/SYSTEM sub direcotry.

3. Copy all the DLLs from the /SKYFILES/WIN32S to the WINDOWS/SYSTEM sub direcotry.
