LAUNCHING THESKY GIVES INVALID PAGE FAULT MESSAGE
ISSUE
Launching TheSky immediately displays this error message: “SKY caused an invalid page fault in module MFC42.DLL”
RESOLUTION
A bug in TheSky causes the Print Preview command to corrupt a registry entry. This corrupt registry entry, in turn, prohibits TheSky from launching successfully.
|
Resolution
Download SkyRgDel.exe and launch this application on your computer. Or, manually delete TheSky’s registry key. This can be done (recommended for advanced users only) by launching the RegEdit application and deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Software Bisque/TheSky key.
|
More Information
Software Bisque has confirmed this to be a bug in TheSky versions 5.00.000-5.00.004. This issue has been resolved in version 5.00.005 and later. The update is available from the Downloads section of the Software Bisque web site.
