THESKY FOR MAC CANNOT LAUNCH HELP
ISSUE
TheSky version 5 for Macintosh is reporting that it cannot locate the default browser when attempting to launch help.
RESOLUTION
TheSky uses the Macintosh’s default web browser to display help, and sometimes the Macintosh loses track of the default browser.
|
Resolution
1) Open the Internet control panel.
2) Click on the Web tab.
3) Near the bottom of the window, choose your default browser from the popup menu. When in doubt, choose “Select…” from the popup menu to select a specific web browser on your hard drive.
4) Close the Internet control panel, and TheSky should then be able to launch the correct browser.

More Information
If it still doesn’t work, then there is a chance that you don’t have enough memory to open both TheSky and a web browser at the same time. You can usually fix this problem by installing more RAM, or turning on virtual memory with the Memory control panel.
