    INSTALLSHIELD ERROR -106 DURING INSTALLATION

    ISSUE

    While installing a Software Bisque product, the installation freezes, and (perhaps after a long delay) InstallShield indicates that error -106 has occurred.

    RESOLUTION

    InstallShield’s error -106 indicates that a file cannot be uncompressed. This may be due to an unreadable disc (look for scratches, smudges or other problems on data side of CD-ROM). If practical, test the installation on a separate computer.

    If unable to correct, a replacement disc may be required.
