LAUNCHING CCDSOFT CAUSES PAGE FAULT IN MFC42.DLL

    ISSUE

After successfully installing and running, the following error message is now displayed when trying to launch CCDSoft:
“This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, please contact the program vendor.”
    A second message shows:
“CCDSoft caused an invalid page fault in module MFC42.DLL@…”

    RESOLUTION

A related registry entry has probably been corrupted, preventing CCDSoft from running successfully.

Follow these directions to correct the problem:

    1. If running, close CCDSoft.
    2. Open the Registry Editor (Start / Run, type REGEDIT, then select OK).
    3. Switch to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER window (listed under Window menu).
    4. Open the key list to Software/Software Bisque.
    5. Delete the key named “CCDSoft.”
    6. Exit the Registry Editor (your changes will automatically be saved).

You should now be able to run CCDSoft successfully.
