    SGT-MAX ENCODERS 180 OFF

    ISSUE

When moving the telescope, TheSky indicates an opposite motion 180 from the true location.

    RESOLUTION

    1. Check that the interface is configured for the proper encoder resolutions and directions. (NGC-MAX/Advanced AstroMaster/NGC Sky Vector/Sky Wizard 3 are configured through keypad – the “Configure BBox” has no affect on these.)
    2. An encoder may be reverse-mounted (turning opposite intended direction).
    3. On German mounts, may not be aligning East of meridian initially. (Common mistake – eyepiece should be on West side of mount (swap for S. Hemisphere).)
