      CHANGES TO 8-BIT GRAYSCALE IMAGE ARE NOT SAVED

      ISSUE

      If the user applies a user-defined Transfer Function to an 8-bit greyscale image, then saves it as a TIFF, reloading the TIFF shows the original data, not the data after the transfer function is applied.

      RESOLUTION

      CCDSoft does not overwrite existing data. If a Transfer Function applied to an 8-bit image needs to be saved, save the new data under a different file name.
