ERROR -115 DURING INSTALLATION BY INSTALLSHIELD
ISSUE
While installing (TPoint), after entering user information and serial number, installation proceeds for a while, but then (at 32%) an error message is displayed:
“An error occurred during the move data process -115”
RESOLUTION
InstallShield’s error #-115 indicates that a file is Read Only, and therefore cannot be modified.
We’re looking into further possibilities, but here are some things to try:
1. Delete the contents of the temporary folder (e.g. C:/Windows/Temp).
2. If present, delete the application’s folder remaining from previous installation attempts.
3. Check for Read Only files on the installation disc.
4. Copy the install disc to a new folder on the hard drive, and run Setup.exe from there.
