      CANNOT CHANGE DEFAULT TELESCOPE PARAMETERS

      ISSUE

The user wishes to have the telescope parameters used by CCDSoft to default to his own.

      RESOLUTION

The telescope parameters used by CCDSoft are stored in the Registry. Following is a procedure for changing these values:

      1. If running, close CCDSoft.
      2. Open the Registry Editor (Start / Run, type REGEDIT, then select OK).
      3. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Software Bisque/CCDSoft/NEW FILE.
      4. Set the values for Aperture (sq. in.*), Focal_length (in.) and Observer as desired.
      5. Exit the Registry Editor (your changes will automatically be saved).

These changes will be reflected in any new CCD images taken.

*To compute the aperture in square inches, use one of the following formulae:

      (Imperial) a = 3.14159 * (d / 2)^2
      (Metric) a = 3.14159 * (d / 5.08)^2

Where a is the aperture, in square inches
d is the diameter, in inches (imperial) or centimetres (metric)
