ULTIMA 2000 GIVES ERROR CODE 203 UPON SLEW

ISSUE

When linked to an Ultima 2000, pressing the Slew To button results in the following error message “Error:Error Code=203”. On closing the message box, operation continues as normal. (A customer has reported that sometimes the telescope must be powered off to stop a slew. This is unconfirmed)

RESOLUTION

Error 203 indicates a timeout error has occurred. The CPS (computerized pointing system) has not responded within the allotted time.

This problem has been addressed, though not currently in a public-release version of TheSky. If possible, acquire the beta version 4.00.202, or later.

NOTE: When TheSky v5 is released, this should no longer be a problem.
