GPF IN UNIDRV.DLL WHEN PRINTING

ISSUE

Upon printing, get error message “WS.EXE caused a General Protection Fault in module UNIDRV.DLL at 000C:104”.

RESOLUTION

The printer driver conflicts with the video driver.
UNIDRV.DLL is a printer driver installed by FAX modem software (WinFAX, BitFAX, etc.). If the user attempts to print a topic from an application’s Help, they will get same result (try Program Manager, Help). Print To File affected too.
Change the video driver (VGA is a good start), and/or printer driver.
