    MICROSOFTMFC40LIB CANNOT BE FOUND

    ISSUE

When the user double-clicks the RealSkyView icon, the following message appears: “The application “RealSkyView” could not be opened because “MicrosoftMFC40Lib” could not be found.

The Extensions folder contains the Microsoft MFC 4.0 OLE Library file.

    RESOLUTION

If the error message “Application RealSkyView cannot be opened because MFCxxxxLib cannot be found” is encountered, there is not enough memory availble to load the libraries. From Control Panels, Memory, turn on the Modern Memory Manager, turn on Virtual memory with 32 MB. Next, disable all extensions except Apple CD-ROM, Foreign File Access, Memory and Microsoft OLE. Restart the machine.

Also, make sure the DSS CD-ROM is mounted before displaying images.
