REALSKYVIEW DOESN’T START/CANNOT FIND SHARED LIBS

      ISSUE

On the Macintosh, after RealSkyView is installed, the error message “The application RealSkyView could not be opened because (shared library name) could not be found” appears, or RealSkyView appears to start, then just stops.

The shared libraries that are provided with RealSkyView include:

      1 .Microsoft MFC Library (MicrosoftMFC40Lib)
      2. Microsoft C Runtime Library (MicrosoftCRT4.0Library)
      3. Microsoft Controls Library
      4. Microsoft MFC 4.0 Library (MicrosoftMFC40Lib)
      5. Microsoft OLE Automation (MicrosoftOLE2AutomationLib)
      6. Microsoft OLE Library (Microsoft_OLE2)
      7. Microsoft OLE Portability Library (MicrosoftOLEPortabilityLib)
      8. Microsoft Portability Library (MicrosoftPortabilityLib)
      9. Microsoft OLE Portability Library (MicrosoftOLEPortabilityLib)
      10. DSS Library (DSS Library)

      RESOLUTION

Shared Libraries must be placed in the Extensions Folder under the System Folder. This is normally performed during installaion. If a shared library cannot be found, have the user manually copy all the files from the Extensions folder on the RealSkyView CD-ROM into the Extensions folder on the startup volume.

Also, increase the amount of available memory using the Control Panel, Memory application.
