CANNOT FIND WINSOCK.DLL LAUNCHING REALSKYVIEW

ISSUE

When attempting to launch RealSkyView under Windows 3.1x, the dynamic-link libray WINSOCK.DLL cannot be found.

RESOLUTION

WINSOCK.DLL is a core component of Windows 95, but is not distributed with Win32S version 1.30. RealSkyView looks for, but does not require this file to run successfully and the message can be ignored.

If the user wishes to stop this message from appearing, s/he can create a file named WINSOCK.DLL in the RealSkyView folder.
