WINDOWS 10 STATES THE PARAMOUNT SOFTWARE SUITE THUMB DRIVE NEEDS TO BE FORMATTED BEFORE IT CAN BE USED
ISSUE
Shortly after inserting the Paramount Software Suite USB drive, Windows 10 displays a window with the message, “You need to format the disk in drive before you can use it:
RESOLUTION
Please click Cancel to ignore this somewhat misleading message.
BACKGROUND
The Paramount Software Suite that comes with all Paramount mounts includes a USB thumb drive with TheSkyX Pro installers for macOS, Linux, Raspbian, and Windows operating systems. Each installer resides on a separate “partition” or “volume” on the thumb drive.
While Windows 10 does recognize three of the four partitions, it does not recognize the macOS file system and claims that the “disk must be formatted before it can be used.” While this is technically correct for the Windows operating system, the thumb drive works on other operating systems, however, Windows 10 does not recognize the macOS partition, only. So, there’s no reason to format the macOS partition because it is not applicable to the Windows operating system.
Please do not format macOS partition by clicking the Format disk button!
The above is not an issue with the thumb drive itself, but a limitation of the Windows 10 operating system’s ability to recognize the macOS file system.

- TheSkyX Professional Edition
