THESKYX FIRST LIGHT EDITION FOR WINDOWS FAILS TO INSTALL

ISSUE

When attempting to install TheSkyX First Light Edition from a CD-ROM that is distributed with a Celestron telescope, the following message appears:

TheSkyX First Light Edition Installer Information

Message:

Error 1335: The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Options:

Abort, Retry, Ignore

RESOLUTION

Celestron International has confirmed that a batch of the First Light CD-ROMs was defective and attempting to install the TheSkyX First Light Edition for Windows always fails.

Celestron will replace the defective media. Please contact Celestron Technical Support (http://www.celestron.com, and click on the Support > Contact Support link) to request a replacement TheSkyX First Light Edition CD-ROM.
