A SOFTWARE BISQUE HELP FILE DOES NOT DISPLAY PROPERLY

      ISSUE

I’ve downloaded the latest help files (.CHM) and copied them to the Help folder. When attempting to view the help file, a message “The page cannot be displayed” appears in the Windows Help viewer.

      RESOLUTION

An application is “blocking” access to the file, preventing it from being viewed.

Internet Explorer, or antivirus/adware/pestware/spyware applications can do this. You must either unblock configure the “protection” software to allow the Software Bisque Help file to be viewed on your computer.

See the documentation for your antivirus/adware/pestware/spyware/firewall/security or other malware software for details about excluding specific files and folders from being “blocked”. From Norton AV, you must set up an exception under Options | Norton AnitVirus | System | Auto-Protect | Exclusions. You can either specify to excluded the entire Help folder, or each .CHM file.

      APPLIES TO

TheSky6 all Editions, CCDSoft version 5, Orchestrate, TPoint for Windows, AutomaDome, PrecisionPEC.
