RESOLUTION
There is a known bug in Webroot Software’s Spy Sweeper software that causes TheSky6 to behave abnormally. In April 2005, at Webroot Software’s request, Software Bisque sent Webroot engineers a copy of TheSky6 so that Webroot could try to resolve this issue with Spy Sweeper. Please contact Webroot Software’s technical support to determine the status of this issue.
Update: Contrary to earlier reports, this issue has not been resolved in the latest release of Spy Sweeper software (as of August 10, 2005).

Install the latest TheSky6 release from the Downloads page.

TheSky6/Spy Sweeper customer’s report that, when running TheSky6 and Spy Sweeper simultaneously, TheSky6 runs properly only when the Spy Sweeper’s Memory Shield option is enabled. All other Shield options (Startup, Internet, etc.) must be disabled.

Earthlink Subscribers
Earthlink (apparently) uses Webroot’s Spy Sweeper software to protect subscriber’s from spyware. If you subscribe to Earthlink, and need to disable Spy Sweeper, from the Earthlink software, click Protection | Spyware Blocker, and then mark the Disable Spyware Blocker Alerts option.
