FINGER LAKES DEVICES NOT LISTED IN CCDSOFT
ISSUE
After purchasing and installing CCDSoft’s CCD Camera Plug In for non-SBIG devices, Finger Lakes devices are not listed in the Setup tab of the Camera Control Window.
RESOLUTION
CCDSoft uses a shared Finger Lakes dynamic link library file named LIBFLI.DLL. If an older version of this file is present in a folder that is included in the Windows Path statement, then Windows loads the older DLL. Since CCDSoft requires the new DLL, it does not display the FLI devices.
Make sure the file named LIBFLI.DLL that resides in C:/Program Files/Common Files/System folder is available to CCDSoft before any other copy of this DLL. Search your hard drive for all occurrences of LIBFLI.DLL and move any old versions located in your path (that is Windows/System folder) to another location.
More Information
Third-party applications incorrectly install an older, incompatible version of LIBFLI.DLL into the C:/Windows/System folder.
APPLIES TO
CCDSoft Version 5
