“NORMAL.SVP NOT FOUND” WHEN LAUNCHING THESKY

ISSUE

Upon attempting to launch TheSky, message displayed:
“NORMAL.SVP not Found”
Choosing (OK) results in an additional error message:
“This program has perfomed an illegal operation.” (or similar)

RESOLUTION

One or more pertinent files are not present in the same folder as SKY.EXE. This is either because the files have been moved or deleted, or SKY.EXE may be in the wrong folder (e.g. ../Program Folders/Software Bisque/TheSky).
