      WHAT HARDWARE IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE SOFTWARE BISQUE GPS TIME FREQUENCY PROCESSOR (GPSTFP) SOFTWARE?

      ISSUE

      The time stamp for data acquisition requires extremely accurate time.

      RESOLUTION

      Software Bisque sells a software application called GPSTFP that can be used with “time and frequency processor hardware” to keep extremely accurate time (to the nearest nanosecond). This software is integrated with CCDSoft Version 5 so that CCDSoft can save accurate time in the FITS header of CCD images.

      The GPSTFP software is compatible with Symmetricom’s model bc62XAT Time and Frequency Processor hardware. This combination of software and hardware can be used to generate time stamps in FITS images that are acquired with CCDSoft with nanosecond accuracy.
