PROPER MOTION VECTORS DO NOT APPEAR

    ISSUE

The graphical vectors that show a stars’ proper motion are not displayed when proper motion is computed from the Catalogs/Astrometry tab of the View | Stellar Options dialog box.

    RESOLUTION

The default color of the proper motion vectors is black, so the lines are not visible against the black background. Change the line display property of stars to a different color to make the vectors visible.

    1. Click View | Display Explorer.
    2. Open the Stellar | Star | Display Properties tab of the Display dialog box.
    3. On the Display Properties tab, click Line.
    4. On the Line dialog box, click the “…” button next.
    5. On the Color dialog box select any non-black color and then click OK.

The proper motion vectors are now visible
