ISSUE
When running TheSky, screen redraws take a very long time (up to 30 seconds or even longer).
RESOLUTION
TheSky is a “disk intensive” application. That is, TheSky opens and reads data from many different disk-based database files with each screen redraw.
By default, some anti-virus software (such as NOD32) scans every file for a virus every time it is opened. This causes the computer to become very sluggish, especially when scanning TheSky's large database files.
Disable the anti-virus software's requirement to scan every file every time it's opened resolve this behavior. Please contact the manufacturer of the anti-virus software for details on how to do this.
