CCDSOFT INCORRECTLY DISPLAYS BLACK AND WHITE CCD IMAGE IN COLOR
ISSUE
Taking an CCD image with CCDSoft 5.00.130 with a CCD camera that does not have color capabilities may result in the image being incorrectly displayed in color.
RESOLUTION
Obtain CCDSoft 5.00.131 or later from http://www.bisque.com/hotfixes. Or as a work around while using 5.00.130, remove the checkmark from the “Display Image In Color” on the Take Image tab.
More Information
There is a bug in CCDSoft 5.00.130 where some CCD cameras where incorrectly identified as having color capabilities. As such, when images are acquired they are displayed in color. This is correctable as the image data is unharmed, its just being interpreted incorrectly. To fix such an image:
1. Open the image in CCDSoft.
2. Choose View, File Information, Edit Header tab, find the keywords COLORCCD and DISPCOLR and set each value to zero, choose OK.
3. Save the image (File | Save), close the image (File | Close) and reopen it (File | Open).
CCDSoft versions 5.00.131 and later do not show or apply the “Display Image In Color” unless the camera has color capabilities.
