IMAGES ACQUIRED BY ORCHESTRATE IN GIF AND BMP

ISSUE

When an image is acquired by Orchestrate, by default the image is also saved as a BMP thumbnail and a GIF.

RESOLUTION

This behavior is by design. Go to Camera, Server Settings, and turn off these options if they are not needed. Normally these options should be on if someone is remotely controlling your observatory. They allow the client to quickly see a thumbnail or 8-bit GIF of the image before actually downloading the larger 16-bit image.
