PARAMOUNT NOT RESPONDING
ISSUE
User attempts to establish communications with the Paramount GT-1100 using the serial and parallel ports. The message “Paramount GT-1100 not responding. Please check communications port settings, power and connections to the control system.” appears.
RESOLUTION
If the Paramount GT-1100 is not reponding either through the parallel or serial port, check the following:
1. The mount is turned on.
2. The cables are plugged into the base panel and not the instrument panel.
3. The cables provided by Software Bisque are being used.
4. Check the device manager tab in Windows 95 for serial port or parallel port conflicts (Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, System icon, Device Manager Tab, Ports, then click the Properties button for the selected port).
5. Verify that the Parallel Port base address specified in TheSky matches the settings in step 4.
