THESKY’S CD-ROM DRIVE LETTER HAS CHANGED
ISSUE
After installing TheSky from a CD-ROM drive, that drive’s letter assignment has changed (e.g. due to the addition of an Iomega Zip drive). TheSky can no longer find its data files.
RESOLUTION
If using Windows 95 or 98, the user can assign his drive letters under Start / Settings / Control Panel / System, Devices tab sheet. In this way, the CD-ROM drive’s original letter assignment may be restored. This method is preferred, as it will eliminate drive letter confusion for all applications at once, and will not be affected by future drive additions or removals.
An alternative to the above is to redirect TheSky to the new CD-ROM drive letter. To do this, run TheSky and select the Data, File Locations menu command. Any items presently directed to the old CD-ROM drive letter should be changed to the new drive letter. TheSky must then be restarted for the changes to take effect.
